Inside a room,
locked out off the world,
a thousand mile away from home,
feeling alone and empty,
the heart's beating sound so clear,
in the silent night,
when the sky is bright and
the stars are shinning.

The mind wonders
if the care is there awaiting outside,
The soul longing
for the embrace of love,
The senses cherished the
moments when laughter and joy is in the air,
The body remembered
the touch of hope
and the kiss of life,
And in it, the person
realizes the truth of his existence.

Though new things
and strange environments
takes away the comfort
that you used to,
That's reality,
Nothing is perfect as
what we wished for,
